The Cornet's Blend

What are the borders common ridings?

The 1st of May brings with it one of the most notable times in the Borders Calendar. Over the next 6 weeks, our hometown of Hawick will transform into a cultural spectacle, and this year we celebrate the 512th Common Riding festival.

Adorned in flags of gold and blue, Hawick is about to burst with buzz and excitement.

The legendary phrase ‘Teribus Ye, Teri Odin’ will be heard in song and poetry over the coming month, marking the towns age-old traditions and local pride.
