About
The second in our series of experimental blended Scotch whiskies, made entirely by us.
The Long
Fig pudding, butterscotch & sultanas.
The Short
Fresh bursts of gooseberry skin, citrus zest, and green apple.
What Makes it special
Our distillers experimented with very short fermentations of 55 hours and very long ones of 150 hours. Both batches were then distilled twice and matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels, before being married with single grain. Winner of Best No Age Statement Blended Scotch Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards 2025. All individually numbered, with only 8,400 bottles being released for sale around the world.

40% ABV 70cl. Please drink responsibly. Over 18s only.

Serves

Spicy Scotch

Recipe

  • 50ml The Long & Short of It⁠
  • 10ml triple sec⁠
  • Dash of hot sauce⁠
  • Lime juice⁠
  • Ice⁠
  • Salt and chilli flakes (for rim)⁠

Method

Mix together salt and chilli flakes on a saucer. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip into the chilli salt to cover the rim. Put the lime juice, WS:02, triple sec and hot sauce in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into the glass and serve. Enjoy!

Long & Sour

Recipe

  • 50ml WS:02 The Long & Short of It Whisky
  • 25ml fresh lemon juice
  • 10ml syrup
  • Soda
  • Ice
  • Lemon twist to garnish

Method

Mix together whisky, lemon juice and simple syrup in a tall glass. Add ice and top with soda water. Garnish with a twist of lemon.

That’s My Jam

Recipe

  • 50ml WS:02 The Long & Short of It Whisky
  • 20ml lemon juice
  • 10ml ruby port
  • 10ml grenadine
  • Spoonful of raspberry jam
  • Egg white
  • Ice

Method

Place all ingredients (excluding ice) in a cocktail shaker and shake hard. Add ice and shake again. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and enjoy!
