Ever wondered what it’s really like to run a working distillery?
Distiller for a Day is your chance to step behind the scenes at The Borders Distillery and experience the craft of whisky-making first-hand.
Spend the day alongside our distillers as you explore each stage of the process – from raw ingredients to spirit flowing from the stills. You’ll discover how locally grown Borders barley, mineral-rich water and traditional copper stills come together to create the spirit that will one day become Scotch whisky. The experience offers a deeper understanding of the skill, patience and precision that goes into every drop we make.

Recipe
- 50ml Right As Rain
- Tinned Peaches
- Fresh Basil
- Dash of bitters
- Crushed Ice
- Soda
Method
1. Combine Right As Rain with the syrup from a tin of peaches, a dash of bitters and fresh basil. 2. Top with crushed ice, give a good mix and top with soda. 3. Enjoy!
Kerr’s Negroni
Recipe
- 25ml Kerr’s Borders Gin
- 25ml Campari
- 25ml Sweet Vermouth
- Cubed ice
- Orange peel
Method
Stir the ingredients together in an ice-filled tumbler until slightly diluted and very cold. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass, garnish with an orange twist.
