Welcome to The Borders Distillery

The first Scotch Whisky Distillery in the Scottish Borders since 1837

Using locally grown barley, mineral rich water and a team made of industrious spirit, we’re bringing Scotch Whisky back to the Borders. In Scotlands rarest whisky producing region, we wait patiently for the arrival of our very own Single Malt.

Julep Dupe

Recipe

  • 50ml Borders Malt & Rye
  • 1 part lemonade
  • 1 part ginger beer

Method

Fill highball glass with shaved ice, pour in whisky. Top up half with lemonade, the other half with ginger beer. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Borders Basil Julep

Recipe

  • 50ml Right As Rain
  • Tinned Peaches
  • Fresh Basil
  • Dash of bitters
  • Crushed Ice
  • Soda

Method

1. Combine Right As Rain with the syrup from a tin of peaches, a dash of bitters and fresh basil. 2. Top with crushed ice, give a good mix and top with soda. 3. Enjoy!

Kerr’s Negroni

Recipe

  • 25ml Kerr’s Borders Gin
  • 25ml Campari
  • 25ml Sweet Vermouth
  • Cubed ice
  • Orange peel

Method

Stir the ingredients together in an ice-filled tumbler until slightly diluted and very cold. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass, garnish with an orange twist.
