Discover the spirit of the Borders on a tour of our award-winning distillery. 

On a Borders Distillery Tour you will be guided by our very own distillers, who will show you the workings of the first Scotch Whisky distillery in the Scottish Borders since 1837, before enjoying a complimentary dram in our Distillery bar.

Our opening hours:

We are open year-round, with tours at 11am, 1pm & 3pm every day. Our Brand Home is open to all 7 days a week, 10am-4:30pm.

Call our distillery on 01450 374330 to book your tour, or purchase tickets using the calendar.

Please note tours only run during selected hours, and can welcome a maximum of 12 guests.

Our car park cannot accommodate coaches, however the near-by Common Haugh car park is only a 5 minute walk to the distillery. Please contact the distillery team directly with any large tour enquiries.

Under 18s are welcome to tour free of charge and do not require a booking space, but must be accompanied by an adult.

How to get to the borders distillery

The Borders Distillery is easy to reach, whether you’re coming from Edinburgh, Carlisle, or further afield. We’re proud to be the first Scotch Whisky distillery in the Scottish Borders since 1837, and even prouder to welcome visitors from across the world to see it for themselves.

Getting here is all part of the experience. Rolling countryside, historic Borders towns, and a proper sense of arrival when you hit Hawick.

HOW LONG IS THE TOUR?

Our distillery tour is around 45 minutes. You will be led by one of our distillers, taking you through the history, process and people behind our distillery.

Do I need to book in advance?

We recommend booking in advance to guarantee your spot. Walk-ins are welcome when space allows, but tours often fill up quickly, especially weekends.

Yes, our distillery and tour is fully accessible – one of the only fully accessible distillery tours in Scotland.
